I have got this twice that after couple of weeks of use the backlight malfunctions and dont turn off when screen is turned off with adaptive brightness selected on. If I turn off adaptive brightness in settings the backlight behaves normally. I have to restart the device to get adaptive brightness working normally again. Using latest 5.0.2 update.

I've had this phone for about 2 months I believe, and this have only been a minor issue until the 5.1.1 update.

Basically, every time I unlock the phone, the brightness goes up extremely high, and the contrast goes weird so that all text becomes blurry. This goes away after maybe 3 seconds, but it's very annoying.

This problem also occurs during auto brightness in very bright areas. Spotify basically becomes completely gray when in daylight.

The problem disappears if I turn off auto brightness, but I shouldn't have to do that, right?

I've tried factory reset.. Didn't work.

So either my phone is defect, or this is some kind of "feature".

Please help me guys!

Same here after update to 5.1.1. I think it is software bug.

Does the sharpness/contrast also makes your text on the phone blurry?

Mine looks something like these pictures. Note that I have recreated these by editing the contrast and brightness levels of the picture, because screenshotting looks the same.
