Replacement phone query

Sony are sending me a like for like swap because my previous Z5 had water damage..

What I wanted to know If anyone knows whether they give out refurbished handsets or new ones but can't technically say it's brand new because it's not sealed.

there is an indicator above the reset button, look carefuly, its on the motherboard

i was with it in the rain good to know is not 100% 

and i saw people in youtube put in a cola

so i guess its luck or faluty build

they need fixit anyway u payed for the waterproof part
