if i scroll with my full finger, it won't register, nothing happen.

i have to minimize the finger contact area in order to scroll, touch icons, buttons, links...

Hi reza_shabanpour,

Were you coming from .251 firmware ?

Have you done it on the Z4 directly or through PC ?
What do you mean with higher resolution (as so far my display is quite crisp and it seems the resolution is already 'native') ?

Were you having also touch issues before ?

Thanks.

Hi Kristof,

Whan I bought my tablet I upgrate it to .251 and I have serious problem with touchscreen. And touch screen sensitivity destroied. I heard from other guys that new framware can remove this problem. After installing the .260,the touchscreen issue is solved.

Regarding the resoloution, the sony sent me a Email last night about the improvements for the new framware anf one of them is improve the resolution. And I saw this improvement after upgrading the tablet.

I upgrate my tablet through its setting without connecting to the PC.

Hi reza_shabanpour,

Thanks for your feedback.

Do you visually see any difference in the display ? (more crisp ? How would you decribe the resolution increase visually ?)

Do you mind posting here the changelog you have received from sony regarding this .260 release ?

Regards,

Kristo.

According to XperiFirm application, It seems .260 is mostly available on operator releases, not yet on customised z4 (out of the box without operator labelling)

Just looking at the Xperifirm tool and there is a "Generic Global" firmware 20.0.A.8.260 R3A and 20.0.A.8.260 R6A.  Can I use either of these on my unbranded UK Z4?

Whoops, just realized I was reading the tool wrong 😞 What does "customized" mean in the tool?  Is it firmware for a specific provider?  Are there any of the 260 versions that I can use?

So frustrating having to live with 251.  I thought this was supposed to be the flagship!

Welcome to Sony UK devices!  Basically, Sony do a very stupid thing with their devices in the UK whereas they won't release any firmware update for unbranded "sim-free" devices until the networks who have branded those devices have approved it.

Guess what?  O2 sell a slightly-branded version of the Z4 LTE tablet ... so we're going to have to wait,  And wait.  And wait....

As for Marshmellow?  Come back April/May for that.  It's a flipping issue as Android 5.0.1 has memory release issues which you may have noticed with your all-powerful / expensive device stalling every 2-3 minutes

Hi Kristof,

Sorry for being late to reply your question.

Before I update my device, I saw the features of the new update in the Email that sony sent it to me such as impovement in the resoloution, bugs fixes etc. One day before upgarade my colleauge looked my tablet and he told it the resoloutuion is good but not as you said about the new Z4. The day after upgrade, I saw a visible improvement in the display. It seems to me more sharper than before. And I showed it again to my colleague and he was agree with me. He told now it is great.

Thanks

I'm getting fed up with the Sony UK releases being held up by so-called "approval by service providers", in this case O2.

I have contacted Offcom and they told me that this is of Sony's doing, not them.  "Sony must have signed some kind of service approval contract", they said.

Thanks for that, Sony.  The .251 release is flawed as 'ell and the .260 apparently fixes those issues.  We in the UK pay over the odds for Sony Xperia equipment and yet you (Sony UK) are under the thumb of the providers.
