contacts keep getting deleted..

i tired the suggested solution in another thread : settings -  apps - all - contacts - force stop - restart... it did not return anything (did not return a contact number)

additional info:

i added contacts from my other phone, manually adding them was a hard job.. since my old phone was a old nokia model ( not smartphone )

then after a day or 2... i noticed a notification called "SYNC" it said... too many contacts to delete... then i noticed all my contacts deleted...

then i added some numbers again... but it got deleted again...and i also noticed... some random contacts have appeared on my phonebook, majority of them has pictures..of different nationalities.. and i dont know any of them, and i did not add them too, also... i checked if filter was the case.. the filter settings is fine

this has been causing damage on my work..

please help asap.. i would not mind adding all my contacts again... as long as it dont get deleted...

Try contacts-tap on settings-filters. Set the filters to show you only local contacts.

sorry, that did not solve the problem... i have already tried that.

it vanished after that sync notification appeared... it said "to many contacts to delete" i think my contacts is gone now.. i will try to re add them manually

and observe if it gets deleted again, thank you

my contact just got deleted again, after 1 day...

i dont understand... filiter options set to show everything..

You could try to go to settings-apps-all,contacts and contacts storage, force stop and clear data. Note that if you clear data for the last, it will erase the contacts on your device. Try to sync again.

i tried what you said... nothing happened.. how do i use sync? 

and also... i keep getting this random numbers back on my phonebook again and again.. and the numbers that i have added keep vanishing..

i have deleted these random numbers many times...they come back always.. are these sample contacts?

I think auto sync might be enabled for you. Those might be contacts from google,facebook etc.

which is mainly the suspect for contact deletion..

Drag down notification bar and there should be an icon for that (both KK or lollipop).

the turn off sync button is not on the notification list... how do i turn it off... even though the sync notification was already gone... it still deletes my contacts..
