I've bought Sony Walkman units and other Sony products for years with no problems but the sound on my Walkman has suddenly stopped working.
I don't mean that the volume is low (which is a bit pathetic but I'm willing to put up with it) but i have no sound coming out of the headphones.
I've tried several things but to no avail.
Tried headphones in my laptop and they're fine, tried different headphones in my Walkman but still no sound, tried putting my Walkman on my Sony speaker dock (to see if the problem was the headphone port) but still nothing.
I really don't know where the problem is because although there is no longer a volume icon on screen the unit powers on when you press either volume button.
My local Sony Centre has recently closed so I can't go and ask them.
I checked online and there seems to have been a similar issue with NW-S703F and NW-S705F units in the US which they were prepared to repair free of charge due to something called an FPC Failure.
Has anyone else had this issue or know what the problem is?
Thanks
Drew
