SONY WH-CH500 volume control messed up!

I don’t actually get what the hell is going on with my headphones, I paired them with my iPhone and went to turn up the volume to only be shocked with full volume on the second volume level, upon turning it up more the volume suddenly decreased and increased randomly per level? the pattern is the same though. I’ve already reset both devices and tested other devices on my phone and I don’t know what the hell else to do
