I have a NW-A30, the unit informs me, but I am led to belive it is really a NW-A35. Can anybody confirm please.
When using Bluetooth I am unable to change the volume either up or down.
The speaker I am using is a "Rockbox Cube, Fabriq Edition".
There is only an on/off switch on the speaker.
Any help on the above two items would be great.
Thanks
Hi @BilboBiggin,
have you tried to delete the speaker from the list of connected devices and re-pair it with the player?

If it doesn't work, then it won't no matter what you do.
It depends of the manufacturer of the speaker. Sometimes that feature is compatible, some other time with other brands it doesn't. It's bluetooth profile issue between walkman & speakers
to make sure, try to pair walkman with some other speakers to know the answer
I have same problem with this new NW-A45
I just hooked a Bluetooth adapter aptx hd to my my bluetooth boom box i bought off Amazon. Happy to say it accepts the volume controls! Which is very nice. It also has a range of 65ft.

I've got the same issue with my NW-A45 Bluetooth Mp3 player when it comes to adjusting the volume to a Bluetooth speaker.Admittedly it works with my other Bluetooth speakers but to me that isn't the point, after all this is Sony we're talking about,my Bluetooth speakers volume controls work okay but when it comes to using the Sony volume well nothing happens at all.I've tried both with the Use Enchanced Mode box check and unchecked and it made no difference whatsoever and to me this issue seems a rather recurring one judging by the responses on here.So that means it's a issue with the Sony Mp3 players,i can use my Samsung Galaxy S9,my Oppo A9 2020 smartphone. My Windows laptop,Bose Soudlink Mini and Soundlink 3 Bluetooth speaker and the volume can be adjusted from all those devices. So to me it's pretty obvious it's a Sony issue. Not good enough in my books.
