Brand new wh1000xm3 will not power up

I opened up my new wh-1000xm3's yesterday.  Everything seemed to work.  I updated to firmware 4.2.2 and now I cannot power up the headphones.  Cannot reset. cannot do anything.  Please help.  Thanks

Have you tried a hard reset?
