A845 walkman cannot recognize by computer

Dear all

     i have a NWZ A845 recently brought from Comet, i'm using the usb cable from ac-nwum50, and the device seems not able to detect by any computers. i have tried different laptops and none of them reconise the walkman. when i plug in the cable, it only charges the device but does not have any sign of usb device detected on the windows system. i'm using windows 7, i'm just wodnering if i have a faulty product, if it is, what should i do?

ps i have also tried all the other metods on troubleshoot, and set the device to usb connection mode and still no connection.

Hi Do you not have the cable supplied with the Walkman?  I would of thought they are different, maybe no data connection in the charging cable, or do you have any USB applications running, like a mobile phone sync package, these sometimes cause issues with USB cnnections
