when will sony admit to the issues with the Nvidia graphics card failing?
i opened a case with them and i am still waiting to hear back from them...
doesent give great confidence in sony's support structure.....when other manufacturers have already announced extended warranties....

Sony maintains that careful monitoring of the repair data does not show any more graphics chip failures are taking place in Vaios than happened in the past.
They tell us that they will continue to monitor the data and if evidence of a problem shows up, then they will make a statement. After all they have nothing to hide - this is not a Sony fault.
We have seen a handful of possible cases of nVidia failure on this forum but such failures have always happened in the past and may not be associated with the well known 'problem'.
I fail to see what Sony can gain by not being truthful about this issue. Any faults attributable to the nVidia problem will certainly have to be corrected at the expense of nVidia - not Sony.
All we can do is wait for further results from the repair centres. Unless you can categorically prove that any failure is due to this cause of course????

read a few pages back, they are failing!!
sony supplied defective goods to users its sonys responsibility to rectify the problem
and advise users, as some users may be unaware and go over their warranty then break down.
so yes its sonys fault for not taking action like other manufacturers, or even advising users.
can i demand a replacement motherboard from sony due to my laptop having this defective component?
cheers
