Warum kann ich mit meinem DVD-Brenner nicht brennen? :(

Hi,
ich habe einen Sony Vaio Computer Modell: PCV-RX417 mit einem DVD-Brenner (Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-104). Die neue Firmware 1.40 habe ich schon installiert. Ich kann alles lesen, aber leider nichts brennen. Habe es schon mit NERO und WinOnCD probiert. Aber er erkennt nicht mal den Rohling. Warum???

Für Eure Hilfe wäre ich sehr dankbar

I have a Sony Vaio Computer Modell: PCV-RX417 with a DVD-Burner (Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-104). The new Firmware 1.40 is already installed. I can read all, but nothing burn. I have have tried with NERO and WinOnCD. But the DVD-Burner recognize not even the blank CD or DVD. Why???

Are you sure you have the correct media for your drive? You might also want to take a look here: http://www.ita.sel.sony.com/support/news/dvdrw.html

Maybe i must use DVD-RW and not DVD+RW. I must test this and I have another question on this: I must use the new high-speed media or I must not with the new firmware and what is a high-speed media (2x, 4x)???

Ah, go here: http://www.pioneer-eur.com/eur/support_update.jsp?category=support/update to get an update for your drive to allow it to use high speed media (but not dvd+rw).

And here for specs on what your drive can do

And my firmware is the newest. Ok thank you for your trouble. I will test it with DVD-RW media.
