Hey, I'm also having this problem with a AR21S.
I found this thread using Google, NOT the forum search.
We need this sorted out!
Hi All,
I've escalated this problem to Sony, hopefully they can find a solution..
Thanks Thalamus you are a star!
Let's hope they issue a fix or some kind of response soon.
Hi all,
could you check the following in your registry settings..
If the following entry is found then that will verify that the Memory Card Reader/Writer Driver Registry Patch 20060210 has successfully installed..
1. Open Registry
2. Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ti21sony\Parameters"
3. Check value data of "UseOneLED" is set "0x00000001(1)".
Please let me know if the registry entry is found..
I've tried 'unsuccessfully' to install the update and I have the UseOneLED set to 0x00000001 (1)
Hi Jumbles,
As I posted in another thread I do think that the update is being installed and suspect that the Vaio update site does not recognise the fact that the updates been installed..
I'll wait for further replies before I pass the info to Sony..
I should have mentioned that after it claimed it had failed to install it automatically I tried unpacking it with WinRAR and installing it that way. So I don't know if it was the automatic install that set the entry in the registry or the unpacked file.
