Missing model pcg-71311m and thus drivers.

For some reason i cannot seem to find my model on the model list on the sony website. It seems that this is a common problem from what I have read on other sites. Could someone please point me towards a somewhere i can find some drivers for my pcg-71311m sony vaio. I am running windows home premium 64bit. I have recently reinstalled everything but i am missing the ethernet controller driver. Can someone please help?

Hi grunta22 and welcome.

You are using an invalid model number - this explains why you cannot find the support you need.

Vaio's have TWO model numbers - one is a chassis model and is shared by several Vaio models.  The correct one can be found on the screen surround and starts with a V.  You probably have something like a VPCEB1E0E - probably not exactly that but close.

When you have the correct model, you should easily find the Support Page - here is the one for the VPCEB1E0E: -
