lost notes app

Hello,u just update my sony xperia m2 d2303 yesterday for android version 4.4.4.i noticed that the notes app and some widget are lost..can somebody please help me how to recover these things bcause i hv many important things inside the note..thank you

I am also having the same problem. After the update the notes app is gone with all my data. Extremely upset by this because like everyone else I had important information stored there. 

It's unacceptable to delete app data without warning! I hope there is some way to recover what has been lost and if not that there is at the VERY least an apology, although I feel inclined to demand more.

I need my notes TONIGHT and I just lost it. Won't have any confidence to update my Xperia M2 again.
Please please if Sony really decides not to restore the notes app, at least show us a way to retrieve the notes data?

So, it looks as though the good people of Sony not only drop the ball by releasing an update that had clearly not been tested properly. Nope, they also show a complete lack of respect for their customers by not even having the common courtesy to give a decent response, explanation or heaven forbid, an apology.

I used the notes app extensively, and am still incredibly annoyed that my data has been deleted without my consent, with zero warning.

This has episode completely tarnished my view of the phone, as well as the Sony brand.

I was planning to buy another Xperia until this happened. I'm gonna buy another brand JUST for this reason. Hmph!

Update deleted all my notes. I had uni notes, VAT details, Id numbers. Put much trust in Sony with such important information.

Lost all of my notes without any warning. I really need all those notes. Please Sony, do something so that we can retrieve back to our data on Notes.

There is a link to the notes apk on XDA someone on there has a copy. Will try and find it and add it to this thread if poss.
