PCG-C1F Windows 2000 - IEEE 1394 problems

Hi,
I have recently upgraded from Win98 to Win 2000 on my old PCG-C1F Notebook.
I have several problems - The Camera isn't working, and in the device manager, I have problems with IEEE 1394 Controller - It says the drivers are not installed (Code 28) I've tried all sorts of drivers, windows updates with no luck ! Please Help.....

The other issue I have is the battery has suddenly stopped working - It never had much of a run time, but it doesn't charge at all. The battery light flashes quite quickly and battery scope can't access something, so, my question is - does this sound like a battery problem or notebook problem. Wher can i get a battery from?

Hi Andy.
Have a look at this site for information on your missing drivers.
Not sure about the battery problem but it does sound as if its gone belly-up. You can check out Vaio-Link for a new one but I'd have a look on-line first (try Google) for a much much cheaper alternative
