I have a Sony Xperia Z5 for some months and everything was working fine. Yesterday, I discovered that the video recording doesn't work any more. If I open the standard Camera app, swipe to video and press the red button, the app crashes and reports "camera has stopped". Taking pictures works just fine and a few weeks ago, the video recording also worked. I can still play these old video's.

Please help.

go to settings >>> app>>> then find video >>> Clear data, Clear cache and force stop >>> then restart the phone and try its work or not

if it doesnt help try to repair your phone software using xperia companion

There is no clear data and clear cache in settings>>>app>>>camera.
However, force stop and restarting solved it. Thanks!

Can not make videos with the camera.

same problem here once i launch camera taking pics works just fine but when i switch over to video mode the app slows down and crashes....slows down as in it literally freezes
