Different ringtone for dual sim setting missing after mm update

I know from the limited research done that this feature is no longer available.

However is there a way to over come this. Maybe a cracked version of the software or something. The whole point I brought a dual sim is because I am about to launch another business and want a second line. However I know it's going to be annoying having the same ringtone.

Any help is appreciated. I am even willing to rollback android versions if this is the only wany it can be achieved.

How can a platform affect new software??

At what serial number, of the Z5 Premium Dual, did the platform change?

LG has the right idea in keeping the dual ringtones.

We should switch to LG.

Hello,

Here is an example of the flow needed in Automate.

You need 2 such flows : select the "subscription id" in the combo-box for each sim (there should appear the nickname you gave to each SIM in the Sony System UI), and to click on "Start" for each flow.

Do not forget to enable the option "Run on system startup" in Automate settings.

Same Issue with Sony Z5 Dual (no dual ringtone setup in Dual Sim Phone, are You joking?).

Sony support Poland told me that its platform (Android) limitation Please dont make me fool.

Any cheap chinese phone has still this feature.

Also there is missing fast switch button for changing default card for calls. Samsung and other has widget or status bar changer.

I posted this request for Marshallow. Now I have Nougat and still its lack of all this features.

Sony do You really dont know how to implement this feature?

Are you ever going to sort this out. It's complete trash that you can't set a second ringtone. How the **bleep** are you meant to know what line the incoming call is on?.

I see you have launced a new phone today. Looks great and I would buy it. However I shall be going for the new S8+ as I believe they do not limit their dual sims to one ringtone.

What a dumb, stupid thing you guys have done. If i was the boss of the person whom made that decision I wouldn't be now as they'd have been sacked a long time ago.

They used to have it. It was their decision to remove it the fools.

Just as a follow up from my previous M5 Dual lost dual sim options after update......

recently the phone died (seems they really are not as waterproof as Sony advertised!) so I went back to my M4 Aqua dual, I did the update to 6.0.1 and the dual sim ringtone options are still there.......

No idea why Sony would imply that it is a platform issue when other models in their line up still support this option after upgrading! disappointing to say the least.

my xperia z5 dual is now to repair at your service due to a problem on the fingerprint sensor. In the meanwhile that I have not it, I bought a myphone dual sim smartphone with android 6.0, with my great surprise, there was the possibilty to set for each sim a ringtone.

So please give back this setting.
