Z3 Compact won't power on

So I guess this has happened to a lot of people, in which they buy the phone, and 2 weeks/ a month later it wouldn't power on anymore. In my case, I've had the phone for about 8 months with no trouble at all, till it suddenly decided to freeze and turns off one night while it was charging (with about 60+% battery). Didn't know why, as the phone has never fallen off, and I never let the battery drain to 0%. Now as I was checking other posts and forums for fixes, seems that the only actual fix is to take it to Xperia Care. Now that's quite impossible for me since Sony and all it's branches were closed in my country a few years back. So since I couldn't take it to Xperia Care, I kept searching for a fix, in which I found one which stated that uninstalling the latest installed apps and removing the nano sim if it was cut. I uninstalled the latest apps I had and removed the sim, after leaving it plugged in the charger for a few hours and then trying to turn it on countless times with the Volume Up + power button and the yellow button next to the sim holder. It seemed to do the trick, for about 4 days, then it wouldn't power back on again after the latest software update.

You may try to do a PC Companion phone repair, this will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. It's done while phone is turned off (but charged to at least 80%).

Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

That's actually what I've done right after posting the problem, it took a couple of attempts, was failing towards the end, but the Power + Volume Up were pretty responsive after it fails to update, before that, it would only respond after having it plugged to a PC or charger for a few hours. So that's when I was sure that it was a software problem, was quite a relief. Anyway, it's starting up now, thanks for your reply Slightly_smiling_Face
