Hi! I've had an issue recently where a background process is pinning my processor to 50% and draining the battery while it sleeps. It's clearable with a restart, but I haven't isolated what triggers it and usually within an hour of use it sticks again.
Hoping for a permanent solution, I installed Xperia companion, backed up my device, and launched the software repair. The rom downloads correctly, and I'm able to proceed to the page where I place the device in repair mode. I unplug, turn off the device, wait, then plug it back in with the volume down key held, as specified in the instructions. The device then boots up in safe mode, is recognized by the utility as being a Z5, but the application does not "automatically proceed."
Looking through some other posts on the subject, I tried making sure the phone was entirely turned off by shutting it down using the power button + volume up combo, but that didn't work. I also tried exiting the utility and restarting the process, but that didn't work, either.
Anything else that I could try here?
