Wi-Fi is turned on but no traffic works until it's turned off and on again

I've noticed a few times now on my xperia D6603 docomo that even though I have WiFi enabled (set as always enabled) after a while it will loose connection, not the actual wifi connection, that still shows as connected, but no traffic works over wifi until i switch it off and on again. I've tried this against several wifi ap's now and get the same result. I've toggled the wifi optimization option and that has made no difference at all. and bluetooth to same like that Has anyone else had this or know of a solution?

Hi @Kazama_jin, welcome to our community!

I am sorry to hear about that. Slightly_frowning_Face

In addition what @uliwooly recommended, could you try rebooting your phone in safe mode and see if you experience the same behaviour that you have to turn Wi-Fi off and on again to be able to browse websites and so forth? In safe mode all downloaded applications will not be loaded, so we can see if any of these are the cause of this.

Let us know how it goes!

Hi again!

I can see on the video that the phone is not rebooted in safe mode, is there any change if you try and enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi while it is? Your downloaded applications will not be loaded in safe mode, but if you reboot your phone as normal again they will be loaded once again, so nothing will disappear.

Should there be no change in safe mode I would recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will delete all data stored on the internal storage in the phone and the latest available software will be installed. Since the data gets deleted, performing a backup prior to starting the repair is advised.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi again!

I am sorry for the late reply. Slightly_frowning_Face

And there was no change in safe mode either? You still have to disable Wi-Fi and enable it again before you can browse websites, download applications and so forth?

If you experience the same behaviour while the phone is rebooted in safe mode I'd recommend that you perform software repair using Xperia Companion. This will delete all data stored on the internal storage of your phone and reinstall the latest available update.

It's recommend to backup using Xperia Companion prior to starting with the repair so you don't lose all your important data.

Let me know how it works after the repair has been completed!
