Unbelievable, Z5 bluetooth remains broken in 7.1.1. !!!!!!!!

After waiting months for Sony to release a patch to fix the bugs that was kindly provided in Android 7 patch I today received 7.1.1

I am really annoyed that having waited patiently for this it's still not fixed the issue of broken Bluetooth in the car.

1. Meta data of music not shown

2. Navigation controls not working

Sony, why do you have such utter contempt for your customers?

For the thousand time of asking how can I fix this, please dont tell me to a wait another 3 months for another useless patch.

Expecting no reply for Sony, which from reading this forum is pretty customary, I ask fellow owners if we can collectively publish a guide on how to roll the phone back to android 6.

Try this workaround:

  1. Unpair both devices from each other.
  2. Go to Settings -> About phone -> tap multiple times on "Build number" until you enable "Developer options"
  3. Go back to Settings -> Developer options -> Networking -> Bluetooth AVRCP Version -> Choose AVRCP 1.4 or 1.5
  4. Restart your phone
  5. Pair devices and test.

I can't do it in my z5 compact because in my networking menu I can't switch Bluetooth AVRCP version.

How can I fix it? It's frustrating that I can't show metadata in my car using Spotify and other apps.

I have the same issue with my z5. If I restore the phone to the original factory settings will I solve the problem ?

There is no such control in Nougat!
