Looks like it's the Scotiabank app:

So far I've found just turning on NFC keeps it from popping up. I don't like to leave it on normally but I'll keep it running until Scotia fixes with an update. Would rather do that than have to uninstall until then.

thanks for replying
i have tried this and rebooted, still continues to popup.
and so i also left the NFC Service disabled, still pops up -- very strange
also note that i have NFC turned OFF
Rickard will take a look after the weekend.
I have the same problem.
It wasn't there before. I got the handset with L already on it about a month ago. It was working fine until yesterday.
I did a factory reset, NOTHING.
I removed some applications, thinking maybe this is a memory issue (I know that sounds dumb) ... STILL NOTHING.
Anyways ... I hate myself for having bought this phone.
PLEASE FIX!!!
OH ... I've also noticed my battery drains much more quickly!!
Sony Z3 Compact
Model: D5803
Android 5.0.2
Try this
reinstall lollipop with pCC, yes, again > do NOT install any app from the playstore > uninstall any preloaded antivirus > use the phone like that for 1 or 2 days > report back, make sure that it's a clean update, which means, it will factory reset your phone.
