I hear a beep from my Z3 randomly, what could it be?

Hi folks my z3 is randomly beeping quietly just wondered if anyone knows how to fix this?

Hi @Rae16774, sorry to hear that.

My first thought is that it could be related to notifications, do you see any notification at the top of your screen when it occurs? In addition, does it happen when the device is in use, when it's locked or could it happen at any time? Do you have your device set to silent- or vibration mode, or do you allow notifications?

If it occurs frequently, could you try to see if the same occurs while the device is in safe mode? That's a good way to see if there could be a third party app causing it, as all third party apps are deactivated while in safe mode.

If you are using a cover of some sorts, perhaps it is the NFC sensor reacting to it. In that case, could you try deactivating NFC under Settings > More > NFC?

Thanks Emir but it has just been starting recently I'll try it on safe mode but I have my NFC turned off as I don't use it as of applications notifications are turned off would it be a case of back up and saving I just wondered?

I'm not sure as to what it could be but if I understood you correctly, there are no notifications at the top in the notification bar when you hear the sound?

Does it persist while in Safe mode?

Thanks Emir problem is solved it ain't happened in safe mode had the phone for near 2years now so was just wondering about software issues because I keep it updated all the time

I am happy to hear that! If you don't hear it while in safe mode, it is likely a third party app causing it, so you can start narrowing it down, for example by uninstalling one app at a time.

Emir it seems to be 360 security application that I used since I removed it the beep ain't returned😀. Just wondering if there are any decent updates coming for the Z3 as of improving the music application & battery life?

Concerning Z3, I'm afraid that I do not have any information regarding if there will be another update, and if so what changes it would contain.

Emir I've got a problem with the music application it's got M3ulistex_ folders on it any idea how to remove it?
