Hi all,
I had a white z3c which had some issues - rear camera and gyro thing stopped working but otherwise fine.
I bought a second hand black z3c off ebay which I've been using for about 9 months. All was good until toddler dropped phone and broke touchscreen.
Last night I transplanted the working innards of the black phone into the case and screen of the white phone. Everything seems to be working as normal.
However, battery drain is now insanely fast, it's down to 53% already this morning. I don't usually get to that level until mid afternoon and I've been using my phone exactly the same as normal , a bit of facebooking, a bit of browsing in chrome. The battery hasn't changed, only the screen. And the replacement screen didn't cause battery drain with the previous set of innards(which worked fine except for the camera).
Battery usage stats for this morning show chrome as using 16%, screen 6% and Android system 1%.
I have screen brightness on minimum and stamina mode is on. But that's the settings I've always used anyway.
I'm a bit baffled as why this is happening. Can anyone suggest a reason why or anything anything to help please?
Thanks
Even more bonkers, I've just restarted the phone and battery has drained 16% just from a restart! Something is clearly wrong here. But what? Help!
You could repair the phone with XC or re-open the phone and check that everything it's properly connected.
