Bootloader unlock allowed: yes !?

I clicked in some codes on my Xperia ZR to enter to the service menu. While I was there toggling through the menus I noticed this:

Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes

Does Sony provide brand new phones that has this option set ta yes? I had suspicious that my phone was used before buying it coupled with this my suspicions are stronger.

Does somebody/Sony support personnel please know the answer?

Hi,

This menu tells you if it is allowed or not allowed to unlock the boot loader. If you purchase a phone from an operator, it may be restrictions from an operator that is not allowing unlocking of the boot loader. All the units that is not customized by an operator or locked to an operator allows you to unlock the boot loader.

I got the service code from leaked Sony documents, and navigating through the menus I found the message in the title:

Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes

I don't wanna unlock the bootloader or anything, that's not the question. I want to know whether a phone in this state comes from Sony or not.

Do phones with a message that says "Yes" come directly from Sony or someone has to have had tampered with the phone to have "Bootloader unlock allowed" ?

it would say NO if your phone is or was locked to a carrier/network branded.

So yeah that's normal, what it mean is that you can unlock your bootloader, just know that you will void your warranty and you will lose your DRM keys

No, it was not from an operator, it was from a smartphone shop. So I guess this is normal

Thank you all
