Hi guys! Has anyone else noticed that the battery drains extremely fast when below 20%?

If you have been using the phone, it might be warm which might accelerate the battery drain, plus you might be more concern about the battery draining than when it's at 50%.

@uliwooly It does get warm yes, but I never experienced it drain soo fast and I've noticed it since the 5.1.1 update. Hopefully it will get fixed in the next update. And yes it's better than severe drainage at 50%. Thanks for the reply though Slightly_smiling_Face

If you havent' reinstalled the latest update with PCC, you should, it does smooth things out and improve battery life.

What a joke!!!!??

So now lollipop issues with get resolved in marshmallow and then marshmallow issues will be resolved in noshallow.

Great!!

What was the purpose of lollipop-Bugfull release for Sony then?? Just a showoff or force update from Google???

I'm downgrading to Kitkat in this week.

Not intrested in Lolis or marshs.

Hello again.

Uliwooly: I've reinstalled using PC Companion. I've taken the steps as advised by you, including uninstalling Play Store updates and disabling auto-update. Here are screenshots of my Xperia Z2. It hasn't really solved anything. The battery drain is about the same and my phone now has the added issue of getting very hot to the touch.

I want to know specifically what steps Sony will now take to fix this because I am very unhappy. My Xperia Z2 is only 9 months old and does not function as it should. I bought this phone because of the critically acclaimed battery life and Lollipop has rendered it to about battery lifespan of an Apple device.

Oh, and I've got Stamina mode on, too. Still poor.

Hello.

I've posted a few times about this issue: first with 5.0, then with 5.1. Lollipop has ruined my battery life. I've reinstalled using PC Companion, I've disabled auto-update of apps. I've also made sure Stamina mode is on. Nothing has worked. On a full charge, I can't even get a full day of use out of it without having to charge again. And if I need to activate mobile data, it becomes superheated and drains even faster. On KitKat, my battery life was 2 days. 2.5 if I activated certain features. I have tried everything that people have said and nothing has worked.

I want a response from an official Sony representative because it is unacceptable that an OS update has had such a terrible effect on my battery. All I get is silence from Google and silence from Sony. Other people have had success with some of these fixes, but I have had no joy after numerous attempts. There's something clearly wrong with the Xperia Z2 or Lollipop and I would like a solution.

This is the first time I've owned a Sony phone and the experience was great when I was using KitKat. Since updating to Lollipop, it has been a total nightmare.
