How long does ur phone last after battery replacement by service centre?

The replacement is not that hard cz my phone is already 2 years old so basically all the plastic sticker* are loosen so it is easy to open. Battery is replaced and the old battery is swollen. My z1 works great with this new battery.

We do not recommend that you replace the battery by yourself. The things you can however try if a software repair in PC Companion .

@Samuel

Well, if Sony used quality batteries we wouldn't need to 🙂

And since Sony takes a ludacris amount for replacing battery outside warranty it's either doing it yourself or letting a non-Sony repair center do it for a fraction of the Sony prize.

Seems the battery (looking at the many posts about it; swollen battery etc) needs to be changed between every 7 months to 2 years.

In my book Sony should replace it free of charge, even out of warrenty, since the problem is caused by a faulty/inferior battery that was flawed right from the day of install/purchase. So eventhough it might not manifest itself untill after warranty the root cause still falls within warranty in my eyes.

Totally agree. Sony should be responsibly for putting bad quality battery.  I have the same problem with my Z3 compact which is less than 2 years.  For comparison, Apple without questions, replace the swollen battery in my iPhone 5 despite out of warranty (I have used the phone for more than 2 years).
