A random contact has been set up as the phones 'owner'.

Hi, I think something must have happened when my phone was in my pocket. Somehow a contact has been set up as the 'owner' under the user accounts. 

It doesn't seem to want to let me change it back to me! I'm quite worried as it seems really permanent.

You should check under myself contact, edit the details and make sure data under myself is not stored in other contact as well.
