USB connector issue - it doesn't meet it's primary function

Hello 

After 9 months using of my phone the USB connector has damaged. It still can be used as a charger but there is no chance to connect any multimedia device. No fast charging option anymore. It lost it's primary function which was data transfer.

Any solutions?

Hi @Szklok;

First of all try a different cable to check if the problem is not in the cable. 

Also to discard software issues first test the device in safe mode and if there is no changes you can repair the phone software with Xperia Companion.

If none of this works probably there is an hardware problem an you need to contact your local Sony Support Team to get your device hardware looked at.

Thank you, it was helpful that you mentioned about the safe mode because I was going to reset the phone and now there is no need to do that. Nonetheless it didn't solve my problems. I was wondering if someone else has the same, is it known case.

One question. What does Xperia Companion mean?
