Hi, I have purchased sony Xperia Z2 few months back (7 Months) as it is a waterproof (IP55 and IP58) smartphone. As far as my personal preference i wanted a mobile handset which is water resistant, as I have to do field work, but yesterday while coming from office may be due to rain it unknowingly got wet in my pocket and now my touch screen is not operating properly. I soon rushed to the nearest Sonyservice Center located in Silchar , Assam-788004, India but I was very unsatisfied with their approach as they were saying there is nothing to do with it and they do not have any equipment’s to check the status of the handset. Sir, as it is a high range mobile costing Rs 29,000/- (Twenty Seven thousand) Only and falls within the warranty period of 1 Year , I request you to provide the appropriate suggestion so that my phone can be revived from this stage and I can use it for my future use.
Further the phone claims:
“It Snap away underwater as the company claims that “With the waterproof Xperia Z2, you can take pictures while swimming in fresh water for up to 30 minutes. You can even dive up to 1.5 m with it. Just remember that all the covers for the micro USB port, the micro SIM slot and the memory card slot must be firmly closed”. If it is the case is so then why I am facing the problem now and cannot access the phone?

With keen interest and enthusiasm i have purchased sony Xperia Z2 last week which cost around Rs 26500/-, a high range smartphone, but it very dissatsifying to inform you that a Leading Brand like SONY is unable to provide band and product satisfaction to its customers. I am facing the problem of overheating every now and then when i use some application and listening songs via music app. Moreover the WIFI connection is also gets dropped and as a result i have to search the wifi conection evry time and somtime even if the wifi conection is swtch on, the handset is unable to detect the wifi network.
Kindly provide some solution to resolve the problem so that the phone can be worth buying.

Did you try to back up your data and perform a Software repair? This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory.
Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.
I HAVE PURCHASED SONY XPERIA Z2 DATED SEPTEMBER 2015 (7 MONTHS), COSTING AROUND RS 29000/- A SMARTPHONE HAVING ALL THE MODERN FEATURES, SONY CLAIMS THAT ITS A WATER PROOF HANDSET, BUT 4 DAYS BACK MY PHONE GOT WET IN THE RAIN AND NOW BUBBLES OF WATER ARE COMMING FROM THE CAMERA AND OTHER PARTS OF THE HANDSET. WHEN I APPROACHED IN THE SERVICE CENTER IN PLACE: SILCHAR-788004 , ASSAM, THEY ARE SAYING THAT ITS A NOT REPAIRABLE HANDSET AND THEY CANNOT FIX THE WATER DAMAGE.
I'm sorry to hear that, but you can contact your Local support and request a vacuum test this will prove if the phone it's faulty or if you didn't firmly closed the covers and/or if there are physical damages.
