Just got my phone today but there is an odd issue where every so often a little flicker happens. It's appears kind of like static across the whole screen but all colours. It only happs for a tiny fraction of a second.

Sort of feels like maybe a hardware thing, lose connection or something.

Had my phone replaced by O2. No static screen issues with the new one which makes me think it's not a firmware issue but a hardware one possibly related to poor quality control/ build from the factories.

I got mine from COMVIQ sweden, they told me to send it for repair, they will not replace it. I have the phone less than one

month.

Mine was less than a week old, still under the 14 return period.

I discovered the fault a few days after I got the phone, I waited too long to report it. Sent the phone today for repairing.

I bought my phone from US, thus can sony care at Saudi repair it under warranty?

I have the same problem on my Copper D6653 Z3.

I was extremely excited to finally buy such a masterpiece of a phone and then! Bam! On the 1st hour I saw it flicker like this. Of course, I thought that I was just seeing things. How could such thing happen to a brand new Sony phone!?!?!?! Then, after the 3-4-5-10 time for 3 days I was sure there was something wrong with it! I called Sony Center and explained. They said to come over. I did like 2 hours ago. Of course, it didn't happen entirely - just some small middle section while taking a picture. So the guy at the shop couldn't really see it. But I insisted that they take it to repair. With enough time spent on it or just with luck to be there to see it when it happens, the tech guys should see it.

Anyways, obviously this is not just in my imagination - there are 3 different topics only here, and I am hoping they either fix it or replace it.

It's such a shame - such a beautiful phone and fast one!!!

Hi shining star. My previous z3 has that issue as well. Nothing can fix it. I even tried repair tru Pc Companion. But the flickering still exist. I just got my replacement phone yesterday. The only thing you can do is record it. And then let them watch if you capture the problem. Hope that you can get a replacement like me. Goodluck.

Thanks! I hope I get it replaced too. It's in repair for 3 days now... No phone call yet. I am dying slowly. I hope they see it, because I can't spent so much time recording something that happens so randomly. I'm going tomorrow in the shop and we'll see how this turns out. I can't wait anymore. I need a phone!!!
