Messaging minimising

His new to this forum so hello hopefully may learn a few things.

Proud owner of a m4 aqua with a strange fault when I go into messaging (sms) and open a new message it exits out after a second and goes to the home screen. Is this s common fault or something else.

do you have a taskiller or antivirus? do you experience the same while in >>> safe mode

I'll try safe mode isn't there some sort of appkiller on the xperia included?

Stamina is off

Still same issue in safe mode

settings > apps > all > messaging > clear data > restart the phone > check again.

Oh dear seems like it happens on Gmail app also. Clearing data didn't rectify it.

have you restricted any app?

Not that I know of I've only set this up today

Do you get an error at all? 

I wonder if... test the phone

settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the touchscreen
