Hi,

Now updgraded my Xepria M to android 4.3 but it seems that BLE is still not supported...

Is the Xperia M hardware capable of that? Any plan for having BLE working on Xperia M?

I have had the same BLE issue.

Disclaimer: in order to loose you waranty, you may:

unlock the bootloader (this will delete all your data):

http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/

root it and install CWM (a boot utility that gives you the ability to do full backups/restore and load CyanogenMod)

I don't know if it can be used for quickly replicating the config to many devices, but it's worth a try.

get the adb utiity from here: http://www.editandroid.com/root-install-cwm-recovery-sony-xperia-m-c1904c1905/

Install Cyanogenmod:

boot into fastboot (hold volume up while plugging in computer)
flash boot.img from cm11 zip (nicki codename)
boot into cwm recovery (press a volume button when the cyan light comes up at boot until it turns blue)
Wipe data and cache (search the menus)
Flash the CM11 and gapps zip (that you have previously downloaded on your computer and copied on the sd card)
Reboot

Now, I have no warranty, but a working BLE support and better GPS

I'm glad to let you know that there's been a change in the plans regarding this. This is planned to be fixed in the next software update that will be available shortly.

I had to read this several time to believe it.... That is an excellent news and no doubt that will make man Xperia M happy! Can't wait to download the update and test BLE on Xperia M.

If this is effectively fixed soon, I will definitively stick to Sony phones for my business.

Hello!!

I bought new sony xperia m dual mobile before 2 months. Am working as a application developper in ios. the same projects also available in android also. i installed the app in my sony mobile for testing. it is showing a popup message "no BLE hardware found". Will please let me know does Sony Xperia M dual supports BLE or not. if yes, please help how to work with that.

Thank you Sony for replying with the news that a Bluetooth BLE fix is available in a forth coming Xperia M Android update.

Now that Sony has announced that Android 4.3 is the final version, does that mean there will be no further updates and that Sony will not implement a fix for BLE?
