Hi,

Now updgraded my Xepria M to android 4.3 but it seems that BLE is still not supported...

Is the Xperia M hardware capable of that? Any plan for having BLE working on Xperia M?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

BLE is supported by Xperia M and we don't have any known issues with it. Have you tried it with different accessories?

I have the same problem with Xperia m dual Bluetooth low energy. Does exist any solution for this problem? BLE is very important for me, but doesnt work.

BLE checker (App) shows BLE NOT SUPPORTED on my Xperia M (updated with15.4.A.0.23).

Hi Rickard,

I have several Xperia M and quite a few different BLE devices - they work fine with oher phones like the Xperia Z1 but no luck with the Xperia M.

Also as per the other comments, if you do a quick Android app to check the BLE support via the API, it says " BLE not supported" (BLE manager is "null")

I would like to know more on what do you mean by:

"BLE is supported by Xperia M and we don't have any known issues with it."

If it's effectively supported, I am happy to hear how / what to do... As far as I can check, it looks like not...

Please confirm / clarify.

That's strange. According to the information i have it's supported and should work without issues.

Please keep us informed about current status on Xperia m BLE support. I also have received confirmation from sony that xperia m has BLE support. Still have no confirmation from other sources though.

Hi,

So as everyone is talking about right now, Xperia M has Bluetooth 4.0 but using a simple app it shows that it does not support LE.

Will this be fixed in a future firmware update?

Yes, we can all see that BLE is currently NOT supported on Xperia M, despite prior annoucements / communication.

We are now waiting for Sony to reply on this matter - let's hope they release a new FW to eventually support BLE... As a customer, that's the minimum to expect after a mis-communication...
