I bought my first pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 in July, then the same issue happned like many others are having where it fails to charge after a few months of use. The cable goes in, the red light comes on for a few seconds and then fails. The headset does not charge again past this point. I tested the cable, I made sure to follow Sony's charging instructions perfectly because it was my first expensive headset.
Anyway, I had to send them to Sony for a repair under the warranty, however they couldn't even fix the issue. So, they sent me a new pair, and exactly 3 months later the same thing has happened again and I have to send them off to Sony yet again.
This headset is NOT worth the money when it has such a major issue.
