WH-1000XM3 cracked headband

Good Afternoon,

 

I recently bought myself a pair of WH1000XM3 as a birthday present (early Dec 2019, bought on 30 Nov 2019). I have used them sparing so far, 20 minute commute 3 times a week, although, due to the Christmas period haven't used them that much, practically in new condition. The headphones are kept within their case when not in use.

 

I am therefore very dismayed that i have spent £230 on a pair of headphones that within a month have broken (see images attached) in a manor that seems to be a common fault as seen in the community page.

 

I can provided any information as necessary, serial numbers etc. the headphones are still within refund prior with the re-seller (amazon uk) and i assumed within warranty as they are only a month old.
