Hi. I am having a problem with trying to get stereo sound to play over Bluetooth from miy windows 10 laptop. At the moment, all I get is mono sound, albeit through both sides. If I go to CONTROL PANEL > SOUND, I see two entries for my headphones.
The first shows as:
Headset
WH-1000XM2 Hands-Free AG Audio
Default Communications Device
This device shows as connected.
The second shows as:
Headphones
WH-1000XM2 Stereo
Disconnected
This one, obviously, shows as disconnected.
I have another bluetooth headphone set (from another manufacturer) which, when paired and switched on, shows the same two entries and shows them both as connected. This set does give full stereo sound fro my laptop.
No matter what I do, I cannot get the second entry (headed as "Headphones") to show as connected. Please note that I have checked to see that stereo IS enabled under windows settings, and my WH-1000XM2 works perfectly with my iPhone and Android tablet. I have had these headphones for over a year, but it is only recently that I have tried to use them with my laptop. Also, they do give stereo sound from my laptop when connected through the headphone jack, but that defeats one of the main purposes.
Please advise.
Hi Tipitout,
Welcome to the community.
I'll see if I can find this out for you. Maybe someone else in the community can help in the meantime.
Thanks,

Hi Tipitout,
That sounds a bit strange. Did you try resetting the headphones? https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm2/v1/en/contents/TP0001513197.html
