When I first saw the changelog for the 4.1.1 update, I though "nice, at last I can disable those annoying voice confirmations!" But it turns out, that it disables both the voice and the beeps, and even the intentional actions like clicking the power button to get a batter level reading.
So, now you can choose between listening to those looooong voice messages, or not knowing anything at all, including guessing which NC mode I'm on, did my device connect, etc...
If this, by chance, reaches anyone actually working on those updates, please add a third mode in between -- guidance voice disabled, but leave the beeps on, so I know what's happening
You're right, it's ridiculous - it's one extreme or the other! Personally, I don't find the prompts too annoying, but that does not excuse the way it's been implemented.
I don't know if that also means low battery warnings are culled as well - although I suspect it does, in which case the first you know about it will be when your headphones die in you!
It would be nice to just have the option to tick on/off the various voice guidance prompts as you wish, so you could keep the power button battery guidance, but remove the NC guidance (Whilst keeping the beeps of course)
Still waiting for this feature...
