Noise Cancelling

A fault has developed in my NWZ-A845 and so am returning it to the place I purchased it. I liked it but it's no longer available so can't have a replacement; I'm looking to update to either a NWZ-A866 or even a NWZ-Z1060.

It looks like none of these have noise cancelling. I'm wondering if anybody has upgraded to from a noise cancelling to a non noise cancelling model; do you miss this feature?

I just swapped my X-series for an A866 and do not miss it, if I am in really noisy place like a plane, I use my NC headphones anyway.

Sorry to hear about your NWZ-A845, its the best MP3 player ive owned, but like you, i dropped mine and Sony want £100 to repair. There are still A845s around at retailers like Comet and Currys if you dig around a bit.
