External mic for BT2900

Hi. I have just taken receipt of an MEX-BT2900. When I make/receive bluetooth calls, I can hear the other person crystal clear, but the person on the other end has problems hearing me. If I increase the mic volume, they complain of an echo, if i lower it, they compalin of background noise being louder than me. There is no happy medium.

Is it possible to plug an external mic into this unit?

Hi ricomer,

Some of Sony's Bluetooth units I know have a provision for an external mic, but sadly I'm pretty sure that the BT2900 is not one of those with the provision I'm afraid.
