Charging

Re Walkman NW A-45/A-45 SHN

Hello

When trying to charge my device I am accustomed to see a static red light at the top left of the screen but I am now getting a white line with a red indicator beneath which flashes 3 time then repeats.  The charge level shows no gain.

I have tried charging from both electric mains and via my PC using Sony leads and have left the Walkman plugged for several hours and even overnight but the battery level indicator doesn't shift.  Using different USB points has changed nothing.

I have also shut down and restarted the Walkman several times but that does not help either.

Any help or suggestions to overcome this would be appreciated.

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply.

The notes are helpful and after looking at the signal I was receiving through a magnifying glass it was clear that it resembled a thermometer so the issue appears to be temperature related.I'm surprised that this happened because I was recharging in a normal, domestic setting which would have been well within the range quoted in the Sony notes.

I think the answer might lie in the later section i.e. when or when not to switch a computer off when attempting to charge.  Although I had initial tried to recharge via the mains system, which is when the mystery warning first displayed.

All is well now and thanks again for your help. Best wishes, Ludwigdave

@Ludwigdave Check these notes here it might help you recognize the issue, I believe it's due to the temperature: https://helpguide.sony.net/dmp/nwa40/v1/en/contents/TP0001449012.html
