hi could anyne tell me why when i try ro get the windows sidebar to appear on my desktop i get the message system administrator is the manager of windows sidebar
even tho i am the systemadministrator i think tks in advance

Hi minstrel1 and welcome to Club Vaio.

Sony turn off the windows sidebar to 'persuade' you to use the Google Desktop.

You will have to reactivte it in the Registry: -

1. Start -> type "regedit" in the Search and open the Registry Editor.
2. Browse to: -
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Windows\Sidebar"
3. Right-click on "turnoffsidebar" and change 1 to 0.
4. Reboot.

Press the windows key+R to open the Run box then type Regedit then click OK.
