WEBCAM NOT WORKING

hi,
i have a vaio PCG-5L1M with a built in webcam.
For some reason, it does not capture...looks like the laptop does not recognise that the camera is connected.
can someone help please.

Hi DI and welcome to Club Vaio.

Can you give us the proper model number? PCG-5L1M is the chassis code, the model number will be something like VGN-Z11VN. As I don't recognise the Chassis number, I guess it is a very new model or a very old model! I can't really suggest much without knowing the model.

Is the Camera showing as installed correctly in Device Manager?
