VGN-S2VP DVD Drive - Can it Burn Double Layer DVDs?

I have a Sony VGN-S2VP and I know it can read Double Layer DVDs.
But Can it burn double layer DVDs as well?

No it can't.

Dont think your missing out, I have a Dual Layer burner in my desktop, and not only is it painfully slow (takes about 45mins to burn 8GB) the discs are also about £5 EACH!!!!!

The disks are far too expensive at the moment to make it worthwile!
