Vaio VGNA A115- varnish silver goes white

Hallo I have the problem: on the right side where I use the touchpad and where my hand is on the corner of the Laptop in the front ( :smileyblush: you understand?) the varnish/ colour silver goes away. Its very <profanity removed by moderator> because the laptop is only 3 months old. Shall I bring it back to SONY and is there a chance to fix this. Or <profanity removed by moderator> happens. It s a problem of thr varnish. I dont want to know how it looks like in 1 year?

Thorin,

This happened with my GRX - nothing you can do about it...

Seems that Sony uses thin paint!
You could try putting some laquer on the rest of it to add another layer of protection.

or maybe you can use a notebook standard with external keyboard and mouse to reduce it

Thats a bit extreme

You can do as I do, and use a transparent screen protector from a PDA (e.g. Ipaq) over the touchpad.
You will find that the touch pads works just as well as before, but the paint work will be protected.
