Hi,
I have a Vaio VGN-FS115M and I installed Windows 7. So far, no problem and it runs ok. the only problem is the battery. It seems that Windows 7 doesn't recognize the battery and the ACPI driver don't let the battery charge and gives false leves. I can diasble the driver, but then I will not have the battery level to know until when I can work with it.
anyone can help?
thanks.

I don't know if it will help but have you tried installing the Battery Checker Utility 2.0.00.11110 designed for Vista?

The battery Checker don't work. I think it only works with the ACPI driver enable. I had it disable to try to charge the battery, because as soon as I enable it the battery drains all in 10 or 15 minutes..
what can I do ?!?!?!?!

Have you tried reinstalling the original Chipset Driver and the original Notebook Controller Driver?
Have you looked in the Power Management settings in Windows 7?
I don't know if these will install on Windows 7 but it is worth a try.
Have you reinstalled the Sony Utilities fror Vista?
Sony Utils DLL
Sony Shared Library
Setting Utility Series
Vaio Event Service
If those don't work you will need to contact Microsoft as Sony will not support Windows 7 on your model. As a last resort, you may need to reinstall XP.
