Hi gurulay and welcome to Club Vaio.

The Vaio Recovery Tool only works with the original, preinstalled version of Windows. When you install another OS you lose this program.

I am not sure if your Vaio has a Recovery Partition on the hard drive - you are quoting the chassis type not the correct model number, which will start with VGN- and will probably be on the screen surround.

You have two options: -

1. Boot with the System Recovery Disc in the optical drive - this will start the Recovery Utility.

2. If you have a Recovery Partition, you can tap F10 repeatedly during the normal boot process when you see the first VAIO logo - this will start the Recovery Utility.
