using vaio TT11LN with docking station

I have just got a vaio TT11LN plus docking station, however, the laptop doesnt autmatically adjust the screen size, font etc when it is docked meaning that the font is all funny and you cant see the edges of the screen. Also if I cllose the lid while it is docked it swiches off - my previous vaio never did this, it just docked and worked fine, I cant work out what I need to adjust - can anyone help?

you should be able to stop your VAIO going into sleep mode when you close the lid by changing the settings in Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options and clicking choose what closing the lid does..
