I have a RZ104, but it's pretty the same. I looooovveeeee that machine! Finally a machine that works quite, smooth and with a high and stable performance.

I love the conversion from old VHS tapes onto DVD, I favor the new Time Recording Wizard etc....
Best of all is the Adobe Software I think. I am still learning on that, but there is so much to do with all that preinstalled software.

How do feel about your machine?

You wrote about VHS -> DVD. Wich software do you use?

In the last days I installed SuSE 8.2 after resizing the data partition. All components will be detected aout of the box. But thats only the first part of the story. Now, I'm going to configure and use all the nice stuff in the machine...

I've tested the recovery CDs. Good work. And the recovery of C leaves the MBR untoched. Great as I'm using GRUB

Yeah - Adobe software is very powerful and good for multimedia.
I find some of Sony's pre-installed software not very good, like movieshaker.

Hi back,

for VHS to DVD converting I use Giga Pocket. Just hook up a VHS-player to the In of the TV-board, start Goga Pocket, select "Video-In". You should see the sceenes from your tape. Then start playback from your VHS and recording from Giga Pocket at the same time, and let it run. When the VHS-tape is at its end, stop the recording in Giga Pocket. Launch Giga Pocket Explorer, and you will find a new capsule in "My cabinet". Just select it with a left-click, and click on the DVD-icon in the icon-bar, which reads "Write DVD". Your capsule will be automatically imported into Click To DVD. The last step is to insert a blank DVD and hit "Write DVD". Man, that is so simple - it's hardly any fun anymore...

Hi Key-lo - I second on your opinion. Movie Shaker, Picture Gear Studio and Sonic Stage aren't exactly my favorites, but remember there real entry-level-users, and I guess that's what the software is for.
My mom, e.g. only uses their "Ease-of-use" software, because she doesn't want to bother learning a complicated one...

Though I must I haven't seen a better working software than Click to DVD...
