safely remove hardware desktop icon

Hi all again ok got my modem instaled for broadband works great problem is i now have the icon to safely remove hardware desktop icon up all the time and cant get rid of it it just lets me remove it ?????
any help

Yeah but I bet ya a million posts it don't happen until they change to php. I really think they would be better off just changing platforms and starting again setting up a quick phpBB board or something.

do the folks at sony support ever read the forum they might learn a thing or two about the real problems we have and stop giving us stock answers to our enquiries which very rarely help.

or failing that put vaio masters on a commision so when they are stuck on a problem they would get in touch with kee-lo and the rest the masters, £10 an answer would save a lot of money and time. good idea or what ?:smileylaugh:

the way it looks to me they are just there to take in more cash i mean why would you sel a product with an alarm and then claim they dont know ANY reason why it would be of oh it could be your hard drive but you need to send it to us with some of your cash and we will need to have a look lmao

hi sony i was just calling to ask about your camcorders and fire wire what would i gain instead of the usb cable with buying a fire wire cable of you
reply did you get a manual with your camcorder it should tell you in there
so i never bought the cable of sony saved myself £30 so i suppose there customer service is ok lol

and the manual only says for faster transfer use a fire wire cable plz contact sony to purchase a cable and for more info on our products lol

As for the firewire any 4pin - 4pin cable should be ample.

yup i bought the cable but needed info on why i had a 4 pin cable point on the front and a 6 point one on the back and what i could all use the fire wire to do that i couldint with the usb cable that came with my camcorder
i bought the 4 to 4 pin cable already but not from sony :smileygrin:
i would have had they been helpfull

Sony is a bit of a ripoff. Unless you're buying a Vaio look elsewhere for peripherals and cables and things.
And their support does sounds fairly hopeless from what you say. Like the type where you ask a question and they send you back a template email about something completely unrelated to what you asked.
